Caroline De Costa was the first woman in Australia to become a professor of obstetrics and gynaecology.

While men still seek to control women’s bodies, Caroline has long been at the forefront of the struggle for reproductive freedom for women.

She has successfully advocated for the legalisation of the medical abortion drug, RU486, and for the decriminalisation of abortion, in Australia.

Her memoir is titled The Women’s Doc.

She is in conversation with RN’s Cathy Van Extel.
